A dream I’ve had since I was nine
Getting lost in a sea of lights
It all ended on a cold summer night
When we were just hitting our stride
But we didn’t realise

That the magic was gone
Where did we go wrong
I haven’t felt it in so long

They say the driver’s now a wanted criminal for hit and run

They say the other driver’s now a widow

So every night we’ll drown our woes together under neon lights
Till the bar runs dry and we get in our cars awaiting all the warning signs
That were right in front of our eyes, ignoring every red light
Until the road swiftly turned, it boggled our minds
And the car went spinning on its side

With caution now to the wind

We changed our names, our faces, our hair
Just to avoid the electric chair
